Staff conducting stream and floodplain assessment along Rio de Las Vacas.
RGR completed field and remote data collection required for an assessment of current riparian conditions and restoration needs on the Rio de Las Vacas watershed upstream of the Rancho de Chapparal Girl Scout Camp. The assessment addressed areas located on federal public lands in the Santa Fe National Forest and included a description of baseline conditions, current and historic contributors to degradation, and priority stream reaches within the greater watershed. RGR also provided a detailed and comprehensive description of appropriate restoration strategies including designs, illustrations and maps identifying the general locations of recommended activities. RGR delivered to the NM Department of Game and Fish and Santa Fe National Forest final field data collection results for Rio de Las Vacas as an Initial/Conceptual Design and Assessment.
