Pooled water upstream of a real beaver dam along Rio de Vacas in the Jemez Mountains inside an exclosure fence. The fence was constructed and willows were planted in approximately 2012.
RGR developed WRAPs for three subwatersheds in the Upper Rio Guadalupe Watershed of the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF). Our team documented current conditions, stressors, goals and objectives, opportunities, potential actions and estimated costs. We proposed and developed essential projects to address impairments to stream, riparian and wetland ecosystems as well as projects for other stressors including riparian grazing, roads, and dispersed recreation activities.
